Ito ang New Testament ng Sampung Utos ng Manginginom. Upgraded version kumbaga ng Old Testament. Galing din ito sa internet at inayos ko lang din para mas nakakatuwa. Sigurado akong may lalabas pa ring mga Rules and Regulations eventually in the future. In the meantime, faithful readers, basa lang at matuwa…

Huwag kang inarte. Huwag kang mapili. Kung anong nasa mesa para inumin – yun na yun.
Huwag kang adik sa yosi. Pampaalis ng umay yan at hindi yan lollipop.
Para bumilis ang tagay – tadtarin ng maraming sili ang pulutan.
Ang tanggero ang tanging makapangyarihan sa inuman. Ang may pera dapat nilalasing para gumastos ng gumastos. Kaya’t huwag gawing tanggero ang gagastos.
Hindi dapat sa tiyan o ulo inilalagi ang iniinom. Dapat iniihi mo para mas matagal kang malasing.

Sampung Utos Ng Manginginom (Old Testament)

Kung may Bisaya version, siguradong may Tagalog version din. Basa lang, faithful readers – ito ang Lumang Tipan at merong New Testament na ipo-post ko rin. Hindi po ito orihinal at sa internet ko lang nakuha – inayos ko lang ng konti para madaling maintindihan. I’m sure na sa dami ng manginginom, malamang nagtulong-tulong para mabuo ito.

Huwag makulit habang umiinom. At kung may tama ka na, behave lang.
Huwag matakaw sa pulutan at hindi yan hapunan.
Huwag patagalin ang kamay baso at maraming naghihintay ng tagay. (May bastos version ito!)
Hindi lang ikaw ang umiinom kaya huwag kang sakim.
Ang iniinom dapat sa tiyan didiretso at hindi sa ulo.

Amid calls for the business community to issue a position on the filing of certificate of candidacy by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to seek a congressional seat in the 2010 elections, PCCI maintains that this is a non issue to the business community. PCCI is more concerned and focused on maintaining a conducive and competitive investment climate that allows the private sector to function as effective engines of economic development.

The President’s decision is a personal choice contained within the bounds of the country’s democratic exercise. PCCI believes that any legal challenges to this decision should be made with proper representation at the proper forum.

Where propriety has become an issue in this instance, at the end of the day, the voters of the 2nd district of Pampanga will place the judgement on the merits of her decision.

PCCI believes that further discussion or debate on this issue will just exacerbate, if not derail the current efforts by both the government and private sector in concretely addressing the challenges of the global recession and allowing the economy to function effectively for the benefit of our citizenry.

Duterte backs Ang Ladlad vs Comelec

DAVAO City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte came to the rescue of the gay group seeking party-list representation in the House of Representatives.

This was after the Commission on Elections (Comelec) denied its petition saying there are already enough gay and lesbians in Congress.

Duterte said on Sunday the statement made by Comelec Commissioner Nicodemo Ferrer claiming that Ladlad gay group is no longer needed because Congress already awash with homosexuals is “bigotry to the highest order.”

“That statement is a bigotry to the highest order. You cannot deny representation of any group. Who are you to deny them. That’s prejudice. Kung gusto sa Pilipino na punuon ug bayot ang Congress so be it,” Duterte said.

The mayor said gays are very much useful to the society and should not be discriminated simply because of their sexual preference.

“For as long as me utok ka and you have the capability to lead. Daghang bayot sa kalibutan. Kanang inyong mga asawa na gusto magpagwapa adto man nag bayot. So ibig sabihin kinahanglan ninyo ug bayot,” the city mayor said matter-of-factly.

“Ako wala gyud koy problema. Nagahalok kog babae, lalaki ug bayot. I do not discriminate against my fellowmen,” he added.

“That’s not a good policy of the government. Dili gyud pwede mamili. That’s embodied in the freedom of expression. Ma-TKO mo ana,” Duterte warned.

The mayor urged Ang Ladlad to file a case before the Supreme Court. He said if he is only a practicing lawyer at the moment, he would have offered his services to the gay group.

“I’m very much willing to handle a case to be filed before the Supreme Court. I think they should go to the SC (Supreme Court) and seek a ruling there. Swerte lang mo kay kung nabayot ko, ako gyud mag-una ug protesta. Unya karon kung bayot diay ko, unsaon man nato na,” Duterte said. (BOT)

Wish Ko Lang

I’ve been watching GMA 7’s Saturday afternoon program, Wish Ko Lang and I must admit that I’ve been touched by most of their segments. I hope GMA 7 would continue to focus on the ordinary citizens and avoid wishes made by popular personalities. Most of the wishes are heart wrenching and I always end up teary-eyed. This might sound too trivial but in the simplicity of things, we tend to neglect the true meaning of happiness. I do have my own wish list for my beloved city and I would like to share this with you, my faithful readers. Wish ko lang…

…Na maging maayos na traffic sa harap ng mga Malls. Nagtataka talaga ako kumbakit wala ni isang traffic enforcer na nakikita sa mga lugar na ito. Tapos maririnig mo na lang na andun pala sila sa mga inner streets at naghahabol ng trisikad drivers. Hay naku talaga!
…Na pansinin naman ang mga nagkakalat na basura papuntang Fish Port Complex. Ten million years ko na itong pinagpuputok ng butsi at hanggang ngayon andumi-dumi pa rin ng highway dahil sa nagkakalat na basura. Okay, malinis na sa downtown area pero please lang nanggigitata naman sa Tambler at Bawing.
…Na magkaroon ng trash cans o trash receptacles sa buong parte ng bagong bukas na Plaza Heneral Santos. Nakita naman natin na nadidisiplina naman ang mga promenaders kaya dapat lang na magkaroon ng maayos na pagtatapunan ng basura.
…Na ayusin naman ang comfort rooms sa city hall at nakakasuka ang amoy at itsura nito. Nakakahiya pang isipin na mismong CR ng syudad ay nanggigitata. Pag yan eh nakita ng investors, good-bye bunot talaga! Atsaka teka lang, ba’t walang restroom sa Plaza Heneral Santos?
…Na umayos naman ang Water District at hindi nauubusan ng tubig lalo na tuwing umaga. Alam naman nilang magbubukas na ang Robinson’s Place eh hindi pa rin nagdagdag ng pumping stations. Dagdagan pa ng tubig requirement ng bagong plaza kaya lalong nagka-leche-leche.
…Na magkaroon na uli ng daily local english newspaper sa Gensan. Kelangan lang naman dyan eh masigasig na marketing team para kumita. Isa pa, dapat magaling ang editor-in-chief at maraming konek!
…Na makarecover na uli ang Tuna Industry natin. Dumadami na kasi ang unemployed kaya tumataas na din ang petty crimes sa syudad.
…Na lalong maging mapagmatyag ang kapulisan. Tumataas ang crime rate sa syudad. Nagsisimula sa petty crimes – snatching, ninanakaw ang nilabhang nakasampay. Ngayon iba na – Akyat-bahay na uli ang sistema.
…Na sana matapos na ang City Council Building. I wonder why nadi-delay ito. Imposing pa naman ang building nila. I know it’s going to be a landmark. Tapusin na kasi eh.
And lastly…. wish ko lang na matatapos ang taong 2009 na mapayapa at walang Pilipinong gutom sa pagtatapos ng taon. At higit sa lahat… wish ko lang… PEACE AND GOODWILL TO ALL MANKIND.

Disiplina Ang Kailangan

The reason why we’re in dire straits is because we are undisciplined and stubborn. We park our cars improperly. We throw our garbage out of the car. The weird thing is that fog lights are used like regular car headlights. We blow our horns unnecessarily. And we never yield in intersections. As pedestrians, we are a lousy bunch. We cross the streets like we own them. We beat the red light at any chance we can! We throw our cigarette butts on the streets and spit anywhere. Marcos, for all his faults, was right in saying: Sa ikauunlad ng bayan, disiplina ang kailangan. Now if only our traffic officers perform their designated tasks, I don’t think we’ll be as undisciplined as now. There are rules and laws that need to be implemented. Unfortunately, either the implementers need to be disciplined too or they’re nowhere to be found. Enough said.

They aptly call the restaurant “Cooking Ng Ina Mo.” The ingenious pinoy has once again proven that despite the difficulties, our sense of humor is alive and well. Silly as it may sound; wacky business names provides not only an easy laugh but also a sense of hope. This restaurant must have inspired a rival that they put up their own carinderia calling it “Cooking Ng Ina Mo Rin!” From these outrageous names, one will get the idea about the specialties of these businesses.
