Forty-Eight Great Things That Happened On My Birthday

By now, it would be an understatement if I say that I didn’t enjoy my birthday.  Here are forty-eight great things that happened on my 48th natal day:

  1. Heard Mass together with co-celebrant Virgie at Sts. Peter & Paul Parish Church
  2. Had Chinese Misua with whole boiled eggs with the Cue Family
  3. Got an early morning call from Congressman Jun Acharon
  4. Had great conversation with Virgie, Kerwin, Jimson and Grace
  5. Was a godfather in a wedding
  6. Got seven different birthday cakes
  7. Gifted with five roasted pigs – thanks Chester, Cecille, Elena, Tita Nitz and Eric
  8. Received over 500 Facebook greetings
  9. Three of my ex-partners called
  10. Gave away over thirty Angry Birds gift-items
  11. Dino Veloso’s Luau / Hawaiian theme was a smashing success
  12. GandaEverSoMuch.com’s theme music debuted courtesy of [C]enterpoint Band
  13. Chiclet Rillo’s energetic organizing of my party
  14. Shopped for Hawaiian clothes for my family
  15. Gifted my AUB Family with Hawaiian polos

  18. Jaw-dropping performance by the Firedancers

  24. Presence of three Miss Gensan title-holders Rean, Romarie, Ghen and Caroline

  26. Despite feeling under the weather, my buddy Caloy Hagosojos was there

Kung may nakaligtaan ako — pasensya na po — memory gap!  O di kaya di na kumasya sa 48 reasons!  Hahahahaha!  Love you all!  And siempre ang pinaka-importanteng kaganapan ay naabot ko ang 48 years — PRAISE THE LORD!!!

    #2 – we do this as breakfast during may birthday sa family; sama-sama ang family mag-breakfast… never really knew the reason behind this, but it’s good to eat “comfort food” with the celebrant and the entire family/clan…
    #9 – curious ako… pero, i guess alam ko… hahaha…

    and lastly, ba’t walang song and dance number from Kuya Avel? 🙂
