The day after WordCamp, Red Ribbon invited Bloggers from Mindanao for a treat
Pretty friend and bakery-mogul Armi Royeca and her daughter Margareth fetched us from Go Hotel
The trip to The Fort was exciting because we were clueless on how to get there
Buti na lang magaling mag-navigate si Margareth and she got us safe to Red Ribbon
This branch is one of the latest to open under the Jollibee Group
One look at the facade and one word comes out of your mouth: SOSYAL!
What immediately caught my attention upon entering the restaurant was the welcome bloggers tarpaulin
“Aba talaga yatang pinaghandaan kami!” — If the facade was sosyal, you’ll be awestruck by the interiors
It has this appealing ambience like you’re in a five-star hotel yet you feel like you’re treated like family
We were welcomed by the Store Manager and the Marketing Team – I knew then that this is gonna be grand
We were immediately served their two empanada variants: pork and chicken
I tried both and they were oh-so-yummy – putok na putok sa laman ang bawat isa
Kuya Avel went for the grilled ensaymada and bravely took a bite forgetting his sugar level
Surprisingly, it wasn’t too sweet – just enough to give you a slight sugar-rush
And boy-oh-boy, I so loved their cappuccino – nadale nila ang tamang timpla
Just when we thought that was it — we were led to the buffet table
For lunch, Team Red Ribbon served us their Crispy Chicken strips, Salisbury Steak and Pancit Palabok
Faster than a speeding bullet, we did what every blogger would do – take pictures from every angle
Hahahahaha… akala nyo siguro lalamon kami agad no? Not after the pictures are taken, siempre.
When the cakes were brought out, we are practically salivating
Their perennial best-seller Black Forest cake was so appealing
I made sure though that I won’t miss the Mango Passion and the Chocolate Fudge cakes
If I haven’t mentioned it yet, I actually flushed my diet down the drain kanina
Now I know how it feels like to be treated like royalty in Manila
If not for fellow winner of the 2010 Emerging & Influential Blogger Jonel Uy
This would not have been possible – big big thanks, Jonel
And of course, maraming salamat sa Red Ribbon for the treat
You made my Manila visit more memorable
As I write this, I got (via email) my free Chocolate Fudge Cake coupon from Pamela Reyes
It can be redeemed here in Gensan! Yahoo! Thanks talaga, Red Ribbon!
From its store in Timog, Quezon City what started out as hobby-induced business in 1979, turned out to be a proudly Filipino-owned and professionally-run business network. Red Ribbon has grown to over 200 outlets all over the country and over 38 stores in the US with locations in California, Las Vegas, Arizona, New Jersey and New York. With its acquisition in October 2005 by Jollibee Foods Corporation, Red Ribbon entered a new phase in its company history. The company will soon become the biggest and fastest-growing bakeshop in the Philippines. Its mission is to bring the joy of eating to everyone through its great-tasting food and superior quality.
