It was Day #2 of the 2010 Davao Food Appreciation Tour
We all came from a very exhilarating experience
Zip Line riding our way to kingdom come
So you can just imagine kung gaano kami kagutom nun
Buti na lang we were all scheduled to dine at
Sa Penong’s, the waiters are all friendly and accommodating
And surprisingly kahit mainit ang panahon
Very comfortable ang pinuntahan naming branch nila
They have a branch in Sta. Ana Avenue and another one along Ilustre Street
When our chicken inasal was served
Sa itsura pa lang, maglalaway ka na
For less than 70 pesos, you get this tasty and tender barbequed chicken
A siding of papaya-shred achara adds to the wow effect
And take note, at Penong’s, it’s RICE-ALL-YOU-CAN
We were all just too happy with our chicken inasal meal
We were preparing to leave na when Tyron arrived
May ipinahabol pa pala siyang Barbequed Spare-ribs
Who are we to say no?
With open arms (and mouth) we feasted on it
Kung gaano kalinamnam ng chicken inasal
Tinapatan naman ito ng sarap ng spare ribs barbeque nila
Tama lang na magmalaki ang Penong’s
Talo na nila ang Mang Inasal kung lasa rin lang ang paguusapan
Sa tingin ko ang sekreto ng Penong’s ay ang consistency nila
Kahit sikat na sikat na sila at super dami ng kumakain
Pare-pareho ang lasa at pagkaluto ng barbeque nila
I will have my Penong’s anytime
Sana magbukas na sila dito sa Gensan!
