Mamsuy’s Homemade Spanish-Style Sardines

There’s a story behind Mamsuy’s Homemade Spanish-style Sardines

The original recipe was passed on by the Lim patriarch

CDO Blogger Rosanna Lim remembers that this was always a hit

Each time her mom prepares it for family gatherings

It was so popular that they eventually decided to start  a business early in 2006

This helped the family ride the rough economic times then

The Bangus version was introduced later

Thanks to Pilar Marie‘s college group’s Feasibility Study

Product packaging and marketing made great strides in sales

When the Pilar’s group abandoned the project

The Lim family – the women particularly – decided to revive it

With mom Susan doing the cooking and quality-control

And Rosanna and her younger sister Jeri Mae doing the selling & marketing

Mamsuy’s Homemade Spanish-Style Sardines started to gain popularity

I’ve always been a fan of Spanish-style sardines

So when Rosanna (aka sanasanz) advertised about it over Plurk

I immediately placed my orders

Payment was made thru Asia United Bank

Thankfully, my CDO manager hand-carried them to our Davao meeting

Packaged in microwaveable containers at 220 grams each

You need to refrigerate it to maintain its quality

Heat it for less than a minute on the microwave oven

Then you’re good to go

And you can have it anytime of the day

When I took my first bite

I was in Spanish Sardines heaven
