Good-bye, Shadow Girl…

Author: orman | Filed under: Lungkot Ever

I still feel Gay’s grief till now

For I can’t imagine losing a pet so dear

I’ve come across this poem

That I think will lessen the pain

Shadow Girl may be gone

But she’ll be forever in your heart, Gay…

-ooOoo-

You have to stay this time, mommy
I now have to be free
Don’t be so sad, mommy
for now I’m at peace
Let go of your pain, let it take part of you
because from out of these ashes, a new life will bloom
Don’t look for me in places I have been
I am in your heart, mommy
and inside your soul
..and everything that reminds you of me
see, I’m not really gone
Don’t be lost in the dark
or scared when you’re alone
My spirit is near you, and my light will shine on

I feel sad for Gay, she cried talaga when we went to her, and I almost did too.

Condolence Gay. It’s ok to cry.
The first time I cried over a pet was with DARNA, my pet duckling who used to sleep with me in my bed. She follows me wherever I go and never stops quacking until I carry her. Unluckily I woke up one morning to find her cold and dead, accidentally pinned down by my weight. I killed DARNA!!!! Huhuhuhu!!! Now I feel really sad! I MURDERED MY OWN PET!!! Waaahh!!!
This happened when I was in highschool. I buried her inside a box adorned with bougainvilla and gumamela flowers behind our house. My brother Orman and sis Mara came to pay their last respects too. It was my Dad who dug up the burial plot. Our Mom took us to the public market to eat pancit later to calm me.

I’m touched, Orman. Thanks guys. Glad that I know you. It’s been difficult adjusting to living here in Gensan away from my family and friends. I’ll manage.
