I got an email message from my friend Ryan Ferrer. He’s also from General Santos City but is now based in Canada. They all share our grief over the gruesome massacre of innocent civilians in Shariff Aguak town, Maguindanao. Ryan wants to start a fund drive for the families of the media personalities from Gensan. He has talked to his fellow Generals in Canada and so far they have raised $300.00. I will look into the possibility of setting up a deposit account for this cause at Asia United Bank – Gensan Branch and will keep you updated. In the meantime, tell your friends about this fund drive and let’s start building it up for the families of the massacre victims. Let’s pay it forward, guys.
