Mayor Jun, First Lady Rose, Rep. Darlene
Needless to say, Gensan City Mayor Jun Acharon has so far been riding the favorable wind of progress. Unless he finds himself in a “Hayden Kho-like scandal,” he’ll be okay. The manner in which he has been handling issues raised against his pet projects (read: the 33MM Plaza Heneral Santos) has set him above the fray, leaving his detractors in disarray. Here is a mayor who cuts across political alliances too. For him, the more important thing is your commitment to serve. So what keeps him a cut above the rest? I think it can be spelled by his initials: (1) His Passion or dedication to his work; (2) His strong Belief in the Almighty God; and (3) His Altruism or unselfish interest for the welfare of his constituents. Enough said.
