Let There Be Light

Have you ever driven to Marbel at night? Did you ever notice how dark the road is from Tupi to Marbel? It feels eerie like you’re in some horror movie. The darkness around you is like a harbinger of bad things to come. The long stretch towards Marbel is every motorist’s nightmare. If you compile the number of road accidents that occurred along this stretch, you’ll get goose bumps. Click here to read entire post…

Ice Cold Tuna

Ice Cold Tuna

Choosing the winners under this category was the most difficult.  We had to balance between day shots and night shots since this is the first time that the floats are lighted.  In the end, six entries got the nod of the judges.  This shot is by  Gensan Camera Club incoming president Omar Gallinero.  The hues of blue punctuated by the great float design won the nod of the judges.  ICE COLD TUNA is a winner. Walang personalan...Trabaho lang.

Six entries made it to the final round making each photographer richer by two thousand pesos.  Gensan Camera Club outgoing president Dong Pading shows his acumen for the craft.  Using a fish eye lens, he captured what is for me the best shot in this category.  WALANG PERSONALAN…TRABAHO LANG shows Dong’s passion for photography. Bringing Back Good Memories

Pinoy Ingenuity

Ever heard of that carinderia along Boni Avenue in Mandaluyong?  They aptly call the restaurant “Cooking Ng Ina Mo.”  The ingenious pinoy has once again proven that despite the difficulties, our sense of humor is alive and well.    Silly as it may sound; wacky business names provides not only an easy laugh but also a sense of hope.  Click here to read entire post…

paksiw na bangus at itlog na maalat

I can’t resist it! Bumili talaga ako ng isang pack consisting of six salted eggs!
