Tuna Festival Photo Contest Finalists (Fish Fest sa Fish Port Category)

Walang personalan...Trabaho lang.
Six entries made it to the final round making each photographer richer by two thousand pesos. Gensan Camera Club outgoing president Dong Pading shows his acumen for the craft. Using a fish eye lens, he captured what is for me the best shot in this category. WALANG PERSONALAN…TRABAHO LANG shows Dong’s passion for photography.

Kita ang Utak!
Incoming president of the Gensan Camera Club Omar Gallinero shows his eye for classic shots. This KITA ANG UTAK shot shows the grit and determination of the contestant which Omar captured very vividly.

Lagi na Lang, Ako...ako...ako!
Omar Gallinero delivers another worthy picture for this category. Despite the excitement in the crowd and the stiff competition under time constraints, this photo captured how this contestant handled everything with grace under pressure. LAGI NA LANG, AKO…AKO…AKO is a classic.

Higanteng Tuna
This might not be the heaviest in the the record books (237 kilos is the record holder) but it still is an awesome catch. Dino Kintanar captured the moment of this HIGANTENG TUNA.

Lumba Langoy
I liked this picture particularly because it shows the vastness of Gensan’s Fish Port complex. Dino Kintanar once again delivered a whallop of a shot with the LUMBA LANGOY participants diving for honor and glory.

Pass the sea water please...
This might seem like an ordinary picture but I really liked the team spirit of the participants. Jing Velos of CEMCDO captured the drama of these hardened fishermen trying to fill their team’s bottle with sea water using a spoon only. PASS THE SEA WATER PLEASE gave a softer side of our local heroes…
