With a fast-paced and sleek format, the Pageant Night of the 2009 Search for Miss Gensan ushered Gensan’s Top Beauty Queens. All three winners are tall, pretty and witty. Nursing student Astrid Hernandez won the judges’ nod as she confidently walked the ramp and answered all the questions. She stammered a little while answering the final question but she delivered the best answer among the three. Astrid is this year’s Miss Talent too. She is studying at the Notre Dame Dadiangas University. Miss Gensan Tourism Donna Galang, like Astrid, is a true-bloodied General. She is a Business student of the NDDU. She won as Miss Private Joyce Collections. Cotabato-born Zae Lim is this year’s Miss Gensan Environment. She was also named as Best in Festival Costume and Best in Gown. Zae works as a nurse at the St. Elizabeth Hospital.

@ mr. orman >>> very well said. Some people think that audience impact would determine the judges’ last blow. In that case, that would not be a pageant, it would rather be just a popularity contest.
