MISSION POSSIBLE. Since I started blogging, Ganda Ever So Much has not missed a day without a post. Kuya Avel challenged me to do so for my first month. Well, so far so good. The number of visitors has averaged more than a hundred daily. Not bad for a newbie blog site. Readers’ comments are also heart-warming. Nakakataba ng puso. Continue to be kind to me, loyal readers. Drop a comment or two. Or better yet, subscribe to my blog site. Naadik na nga yata ako sa kaka-blog. It’s a great respite from each grueling day. I am loving it.
BACK STAGE BEAUTIES. Sad to say, Miss Philippines’ bet Bianca Pamela Manalo joined the majority of the non-winners. In gay-parlance, they’re what we call Back-stage beauties or Thank you, ladies (for joining!). The reality is that for as long as the judges have a strong bias for latinas and european women, we don’t stand a chance of ever winning the Miss Universe crown again. No Asians this year? I’m not surprised. A back-to-back win for Venezuela? Not impossible. They take beauty pageants way too seriously. Congratulations to the winners. And thank you, Bianca, for giving the pageant your best.
AND THEN THERE WAS TEN. This early I can say that four candidates are shoo-ins for the coveted Miss Gensan crown. We have a tall bunch this time around. And they’re articulate, charming and picture-perfect pretty. This year, we’re choosing not only the main winner, we’re also awarding the 1st runner-up as Miss Gensan Tourism and the 2nd runner-up as Miss Gensan Environment. Pageant Director Dino Veloso will stage an MTV-type of show that will really bring out the dancing prowess of our candidates. The gowns and casual attire are designed by the President of the Fashion Designers’ Association of the Philippines, Johnny Abad. Miss Gensan’s Ten Prettiest will surely have a blast.
OLIVER’S COMING. Dadaverz is coming to Gensan. He’ll wrap up his exams on Wednesday and will fly in the next day. It’s gonna be a whirlwind visit since he’s going back on Sunday. We’ll make the most out of it. Having him around is always a blessing – sumpong and all. I don’t wanna make plans. We’ll just ride the tide and see where it will get us. In the meantime, I need to clean my room.
