“I have to ask you a question. It’s a good one so think about it. If two people love each other, but they just can’t seem to get it together, when do you get to that point of enough is enough?” ~Samantha, Julia Roberts‘ character in the movie THE MEXICAN.
I was raised with the belief that when you are not happy anymore then it’s time to let go. But letting go becomes difficult when you eventually realized that you are still in love and that your being unhappy is something that can be fixed. However, reconciliation becomes difficult when pride sets in. Pride creates assumptions. Assumptions beget hatred. And hatred kills the possibility of reconciliation. Thus you carry the burden of your pain – of not doing something about the whole thing. And just when you are wallowing in pain all of a sudden, everywhere you look there is love and possibility. How ironic. Loving is difficult. But then again, loving can be easy too. Just take this to heart: Love is a wonderful thing. Go, share!
